How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home
Method 1: Measure with a Ring You Already Own
Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the intended finger. Use a ruler to measure the inner diameter (in millimeters) of the ring — measure straight across the center from one inner edge to the other. Then, refer to our size chart below to find your matching ring size.
Method 2: Measure with String or Paper
- Cut a thin strip of paper or a piece of string.
- Wrap it gently around the base of your finger — make sure it’s snug but not tight.
- Mark where the two ends meet.
- Measure the length (in millimeters) using a ruler.
- Use the chart below to find your corresponding size.
Tips:
Measure your finger at the end of the day when it’s slightly larger. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as fingers can shrink.
